Series alert: Children & Pet loss

“Many who have spent a lifetime in it can tell us less of love than the child that lost a dog yesterday.” – Thornton Wilder

As parents and grandparents, we want nothing but the best for our children and grandchildren. Whether we like it or not, death is a part of life. For a child, processing death can be a confusing and difficult time. Losing a pet (for many children) may be their first experience dealing with loss. Over the next several weeks I will be blogging on the important topic of children and pet loss. I highly suggest that if you have children or grandchildren as well as a pet, that you keep yourself open to reading what I have to share.
